Alex Jordan (France)

Born in 1947.
Studies at the "Beaux Arts" in Düsseldorf / RFA. Meisterschueler of Joseph Beuys.
In 1976, he joins the young french design group Grapus.
After the splitting of Grapus in in 1991 he creates the Nous Travaillons Ensemble (We Work Together) atelier.
Co-founder of le Bar Floréal a photography association.
"Grand prix national" in 1991 (graphic design) with his Grapus colleagues.
Member of "l'Alliance Graphique Internationale".
Co-direction of the Chaumont Poster Festival.
Since 1993 he teaches at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee in Berlin.
   
Luba Lukova (USA)
Internationally recognized, New York based, Bulgarian born, Luba Lukova is one of the most distinctive image-makers working today. Whether by using an economy of line, color, and text to pinpoint essential themes of the human condition or to succinctly illustrate social commentary, her work is undeniably powerful and thought provoking.
Lukova has won many awards including Grand Prix Savignac at the International Poster Salon, Paris, France; the Golden Pencil Award at the One Club, New York; ICOGRADA Excellence Award at the Poster Festival in Chaumont, France; and Honor Laureate at the International Poster Exhibition in Fort Collins, CO. Exhibitions of her work have been held at UNESCO, Paris; DDD Gallery, Osaka, Japan;, New York and The Art Institute of Boston. She is widely regarded for her editorial illustrations for The New York Times and has received commissions for her work from the Wall Street Journal, Time magazine, Adobe Systems, Sony Music, and Harvard University. Her evocative theatre posters have graced numerous stage productions in the US and Europe. Lukova's work is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Library of Congress, Washington, DC; Bibliotheque Nationale de France. In 2009 publisher Clay & Gold will release “Speaking with Images”, a new book about her work.
   

Majid Abbasi (Iran)

Born in May 6, 1965 in Tehran, where he still lives today, Abbasi graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran in 1989 in visual communication. It was in this same year, having already enjoyed numerous freelance design commissions, that Abbasi set up his prestigious studio, Did Graphics Inc., with partner Firouz Shafei. Also a lecturer at the University of Tehran, following Morteza Momayez’ invitation to join the university’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Abbasi has been a member of the board and treasurer of the Iranian Graphic Designers Society (IGDS). A more recent venture has seen the launch of Neshan, the Iranian graphic design magazine for which Abbasi sits on the editorial board, while he is also a founder of The 5th Color, a collective formed by what he describes as “the new generation of Iranian graphic designers”. Abbasi’s work has been published in numerous international magazines and books. In addition to this, since 1999, Abbasi has participated in many national and international exhibitions. His works are presented in museums, collections and galleries around the world.

   

Sergij Mishakin (Ukraine)

Was born in 1972 in a small, but very important Republic of Adygei, in 1990 he moved to Kharkov, where he tried to study at the institute, drink vodka, play in a rock band, work as a loader, editor, mechanic, translator and other, until 1994 when he suddenly realized, that he was a graphic designer. Actually nothing changed later on. In 1998 he organized a studio Panic Design, and left it easily in 2005. Due to, say, craving for adventures. In November that year together with another designer from Panic Design (Borzunova) he organized studio 3z, where he has been a partner. That’s the way it is.
Works took part in the triennial of graphics and poster «4th block» (Kharkov), biennial «Golden Bee» (Moscow), biennial in Brno (The Czech Republic), Kiev international festival of advertising, exhibition «Water for mankind» (France), biennial of poster in Teheran. He participated in the jury of Kiev festival of advertising, the jury of the contest of logotypes «Tamga» (RF), selection committee of the triennial «4th block», conference KUPE 2/VYKLAD GRAFICKEHO DIZAJNU in Zilin (Slovakia).

   
Niklaus Troxler (Switzerland)
Born in Willisau/Switzerland in 1947. Studied Typography in Lucerne, then Graphic Design at the Art School of Lucerne. After studies Art Director in Paris.
Own Graphic Design Studio since 1973. Organizer of Jazz concerts (since 1966) and an annual Jazz Festival (since 1975) in his home town Willisau.
His many awards include «Toulouse Lautrec-Gold Medal» from the Essen Poster Triennale (1987 and 1994), the First Prize from Chaumont Poster Festival (1992, Silver in 2007, Bronze in 1999), the Gold Prize from Lahti Poster Biennale (1993), the 1st Prize from Helsinki Poster Biennial (1997), the 1st Prize of Trnava Poster Biennial (1997), First Prize at Hongkong Poster Trienniale (2001), Grand Prize at 1st China Poster Biennial in Hangzhou (2003), Grand Prize at Taiwan Poster Triennial (2005), Grand Award at Colorado Invitational Biennial (2005), Grand Awards at Moscow Golden Bee Awards (2006 and 2008), Grand Award at Ningbo Poster Biennial (2006), Grand Prize and Icograda Excellence Award at ZGRAF Zagreb (2008), Gold Awards at Brno Biennial (2002 and 2004,Silver Award 1992), Special Award at Warsaw Poster Biennale (1992), Bronze medal at Toyama Poster Triennale (1994) among many others.
Niklaus Troxler got the Swiss Federation Design Award and his posters got awarded 22 times as «Swiss Poster of the Year». He won 2 Gold, 17 Silver and 28 Bronze Awards from the Art Directors Club of Switzerland. He won the ADC (Switzerland) Special Award in 2000. Many ADC of New York Awards and Type Directors Clubs of New York and Tokyo Awards.
His works are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Hamburg Industrial Arts Museum, the Wilanow Poster Museum in Warsaw, the Ogaki Poster Museum, the Essen Poster Museum, the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, the Staedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Zurich Design Museum, the Basel Poster Collection, among others.
Personal exhibitions in New York, Minneapolis, Mexico, Guadalajara, Caracas, Paris, Chaumont, Berlin, Essen, Stuttgart, Nevi/Italy, Liublijana, Gondola/Portugal, Warsaw, Tokyo, Hangzhou/China, Zurich, Nyon, Lucerne, Bellinzona among many others.
Since 1998, he is professor at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart/Germany.
He is a  member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) since 1989.
   
Volodimir Chayka (Russia)

Born September 9.1955. USSR.
1977–1982 Studed Art and Design in Stroganov Higher School of Art and Crafts.
From 1977 till now independent graphic designer located in Moscow.
Work on the fild of poster, magazine, identity design, illustration, photo in personal studio.
