Summing up

The final exhibition is planned to be held in one of the exhibition halls of Kharkiv.

The winners' award ceremony will take place in April-May, 2007 and will be dated to the Day of Memory of those died of AIDS. When summing-up, the public jury will be formed that will award the spectators' sympathy prize.

Prize fund

The best of the submitted works are awarded with encouragement and special prizes. the prize fund of the competition is 5000 USD.

The Organization committee will not be able to pay the custom fee and to receive your works if the posting evaluation sum exceeds$ 20 by ordinary mail and $ 5 by the mail delivery service
(DHL, American Express, etc.).

Regulations of the 2nd International Poster and Computer Animation Competition «AntiAIDS-Ukraine»

Introduction

In 2007 there will be twenty years since the first HIV infection case was registered in Ukraine. The whole generation has grown up for this time. This generation will have to live with this disease. We understand that to great extent this is a behavioral disease. And in the result the youth - our future - turned out to be most vulnerable to it. This has become actual for any country. The poster as a peculiar means of communication can become one of the most effective means of education of young healthy generation, healthy first of all from the moral point of view. We cannot overcome AIDS yet. But we can and we must change the attitude of the young people to the problem, the attitude to their health. We can try to influence their motivation to healthy way of life, to strengthen the instinct of healthy life in their consciousness, to help them be healthy and happy.

Goals and objectives of the competition

HIV/AIDS spread prevention by forming the young people's motivation to healthy way of life. Demonstration of the best competition works as a part of existing HIV/AIDS Poser Exhibition displayed throughout the world. This is the second International competition «AntiAIDS-Ukraine». 110 designers from 15 countries sent 230 posters to the first competition. The exhibition formed out of these posters has become international and it has already been demonstrated in different cities of Ukraine and other countries.

Nominations

Poster: format not more than 60x90 cm; offset, silk-screen or plotter printing. Computer animation: FLASH film, animated image, dynamic poster, social advertisement. The works are submitted in an uncompressed AVI format
(PAL, 720x576 px, 25 frames per second, duration not more than 30 sec), executed by any program means.

Application Form

The participant fills in the Application Form for each work presented to the Competition and sends it with the works.

The copy of the Application Form is obligatory sent by e-mail chervona_strichka@ic.kharkov.ua to avoid mistakes in the names of authors and works when publishing the catalogue of the Competition. It is advisable for the participant to send his photo, additional information about the educational institutions he studies or graduated from, exhibitions and awards. For fuller acquaintance with your creative work, please attach the CD catalogue or the booklet of your works.

Label

In the nomination "Poster" the participant attaches the label on the backside of each work in the right upper corner. The label is filled in block letters (in Ukrainian, Russian or English). The label is attached with the help of the Scotch tape
(not stuck!).

In the nomination «Computer animation» the participant should put the filled-in Application Form into an envelope or CD-disk box.

Submission of works

To execute the competition work it is necessary to receive from the organizers the logo of Chervona Strichka Charitable Foundation to include its miniature version as an obligatory element of the poster composition.

Participants in the nomination "Compute Animation" should present their works on CD/DVD disk on the face of which the participant's name and the name of his work are written with marker.

Participants in the nomination "Poster" should send their works with CD/DVD disk with digital images of the works (15 cm on bigger side, TIFF, RGB, 300 dpi). On the disk face the participant's name and the name of his work are written with marker.

The competitive works are not reviewed and are not returned. After the competition they are passed over to Chervona Strichka Charitable Foundation for safekeeping.

The participants in the competition give the organizers the right to use the works submitted to the competition with non-commercial purposes and to publish them in the editions related to the subject of HIV/AIDS.

The works that contradict the goals and objectives of the competition or violate the current legislation of Ukraine will not be allowed to participate in the competition.

The participants in the competition may count on receiving information materials from the organization committee or on lectures on this subject matter aimed at helping the participants during the work over the competition projects.
